The time has come for the West to confront communist China over its rampant human rights abuses, says Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage, warning that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has become the new Nazi Germany of the modern age.
Speaking to a group of supporters recently, Farage emphasized that the West must go beyond just fighting Chinese hegemony on economic and security issues, and also address the prolific human rights abuses that are taking place against groups like the Uighur Muslims, who are being tortured and abused in communist Chinese concentration camps.
If the West chooses to do nothing on this front, there is a high likelihood that communist China will eventually become the dominant power in the world, Farage warned.
“The brutal truth that it is utterly right to compare the way the Chinese government treats minorities, treats different points of view, within its country … with what the National Socialists did between 1933 and 1945,” Farage stated, adding that the skeptics “have not been making the argument properly and fully about the plight of the Falun Gong, the plight of the Uighurs.”
“There is a form of state-sponsored genocide that is going on in China, and we’ve done too little to expose this,” he added.
As many as 1.5 million of the 12 million people living in China’s northwestern province of Xinjiang, where a bulk of Uighur concentration camp occupants currently reside, are being forcibly “reeducated” under communist Chinese tutelage. This, Farage and others warn, is exactly the type of thing that happened in Nazi Germany during World War II.
Further, these political and religious prisoners face horrific living conditions and human rights abuses that include coercion to renounce their religious beliefs, or else face persecution and other consequences. This is what Farage wants to see addressed by Western “superpowers” as they combat the scourge of CCP encroachment all around the world.
Xinjiang has also become a spying and surveillance nightmare, with John Chin, Deputy China Bureau Chief for The Wall Street Journal, having recently told the BBC that the all-seeing eye, so to speak, of the CCP has become a “ubiquitous” presence throughout the region.
Not only are there police checkpoints in place about every 200 yards, he contends, but there is visual and audio surveillance taking place everywhere, along with facial recognition devices at the entrances to every building.
“Virtually every movement by citizens is tracked,” writes Victoria Friedman for Breitbart News, adding that “there is not a moment where Uighurs are not being observed when out in public.”
And none other than Huawei, a Chinese mobile phone technology giant that was banned by President Donald Trump from playing a role in the 5G rollout here in the U.S., is said to be overseeing the creation and implementation of this mass surveillance apparatus.
Even inside their own homes Uighur families are being forced to participate in a “visit” program whereby CCP officials move in for anywhere from nine to 14 days at a time to “observe” their behavior and activities. In many cases, the men of these homes have already been shipped off for “reeducation,” while the women and children become prisoners in their own living spaces.
If CCP officials determine that women and children also require “reeducation,” then they, too, are sent off to be indoctrinated and coerced into renouncing their religious beliefs and agreeing to become communist Chinese supporters. Many of them are also forced to work hard labor at multinational corporate factories that do business there, including for companies like Volkswagen, Apple, BMW and the Gap.
